The sky is blue
I don't remember why.
And it's been so long...
I don't know why.
Cars are screaming
In that strange other-space
While sun dips over horizon
In this normal place?
Steel towers receed
As a fog rolls in
And I smile a smile
Of a man no longer hemmed in.
It's been too long since
I've been alone with me
And had a few moments
Just the world and me.

I think it's a bit too open for multiple interpretations for my liking.
Sort of like the film Synecdouché, although that has greater depth.
Perhaps that is what this poem could do with? More depth?
